Cue Light
A cue light on the lower front of the camera
indicates that the camera drive is in operation so the
subject will know when filming has begun.
Him Speed and Exposure Control Plate
This camera is an XL camera. When high speed film
is used in XL cameras for filming outdoors during
the daytime, there is a tendency to overexposure
caused by the XL mechanism. Therefore, when
filming outdoors in the daytime, please use low
speed film. If a high speed film has to be used,
attach the Canon filter ND-4 and pull the exposure
control plate located just above the light metering
window fully out. The compensation of this ex
posure control plate is two f/stops.
*Do not use an ND filter together with a UV or
Skylight filter.
Exposure Adjustment when Shooting against the Light
The exposure control plate is also used to attain
correct exposure when shooting against strong
light such as when the sun is behind the subject.
When shooting a subject with a window in the
background or under ordinary light conditions,
exposure adjustment is not necessary.
