Compensation

This camera is provided with an automatic exposure

compensation function for backiit shots, but you can
aiso use exposure compensation at any time.

Set the flash to ®

®+1.5 or ®—1.5 on the LCD

panel

^ Either +1.5 or —1.5 blinks on

the LCD panel.

• ®+i.5 Exposure Compensation

You can use this setting to prevent your subject being too
dark (underexposed) when the surroundings are
extremely bright, such as at a ski-resort or in backlit
conditions. You can also use this setting to brighten the

entire picture.

• ®-i.5 Exposure Compensation

You can use this setting to prevent your subject being too
bright (overexposed) when the surroundings are
extremely dark, such as on a spotlit stage. You can also

use this setting to darken the entire picture.

* Automatic exposure compensation is not performed in

®+1.5, ®-1.5.

• The flash does not fire in ®+1.5 , ®—1.5
• The effects of exposure compensation may be difficult

to see on prints from negative color film.
