Use [<] or [>] to select ON.
Press [START/COPY], START/COPY
ON
Press [STOP] to finish registration.

■ Receiving both documents and telephone calls automatically
You can set the FAXPHONE to monitor all incoming calls over the fax/telephone line.
When the F.AXPHONF receives an incoming call, it checks to see if the call is from
another tax machine trying to send a document or from someone wanting to talk to
vou.
The FAXPHONE cannot receive a document automatically if you are making copies,
printing reports, or registering information. See pg.7.f.

Make sure you have set the FAXPHONE for both fax and telephone
communication (FAX/TEL SWITCH is ON). See pg. 18.
Press [ANS HOOK UP/MANUAL] until no icon appears above the button.
Make sure the ANS HOOK UP ([ii]) and the MANUAL ( ) icons are not
displaced on the TCD.
When the FAXPHONE receives a call, it checks to see whether the call is from another
fax machine or from a telephone.
I It it is a fax call, your FVXXPHONE automatically switches to receiving mode to
accept the fax.
I If the call is from a person, your FAXPHONE rings to alert you to pick up the
handset.
