Auxiliary Dry Air Pump Kit N0. AP8-100

STC SA4626NM

Wiring Modification


Compliance:
Mandatory; at next scheduled maintenance

Effectivity:

Serial Numbers: 179 and earlier (all kits purchased prior to 1 June, 2001)

Summary:
An STC review has shown the need for replacement of inadequate size wires supplying power to the
Auxiliary Dry Air Pump. No failures have been reported, but this modification is needed to insure an
adequate level of safety exists for aircraft utilizing this optional equipment.

Man-Hours:
Approximately 1.0 man-hours to install new parts.

Accomplishment Instructions:

1) Remove the old 18 gauge wire (has red terminal ends) number 372-11E from the “15 AMP

CIRCUIT BREAKER” and discard. (See attached schematic)

2) Install replacement 16 gauge wire (has blue terminal ends) number 372-11E to the same locations.
3) Remove and discard the old 18 gauge wire (has red terminal ends) number 372-11D running

between the “15 AMP CIRCUIT BREAKER” and the “3-PIN CONNECTOR”

4) The above wire may be removed from the three-pin connector using the included PIN REMOVAL

TOOL. Slide this pin removal tool over the pin to be removed, until seated snugly. Use care to
prevent damage to the connector housing. Pull wire out from the back of the connector housing.

5) Install replacement 16 gauge wire (has blue terminal ends) number 372-11D running between the

“15 AMP CIRCUIT BREAKER” and the “3-PIN CONNECTOR”.

6) Complete Section 1.2 “Operational Check-Engine Off” from the Instructions for Continued

Airworthiness Document, Number AP8-ICA.

7) Service Bulletin Complete
