1. Raise car high enough to fit jackstands under vehicle.
2. Position jackstands under car using factory lift points.
3. Mark the cat-back exhaust system along the rear edge of the clamp holding the catalytic

converter/ downpipe and exhaust together (this mark will be used to position the clamp
once the new downpipe is installed)

4. Remove the plastic nuts holding the cover over the 0xygen sensor plugs.
5. Unplug the Oxygen sensors, and loosen the wiring from the body between the plug and the

sensor.

6. Loosen clamp between the catalytic converter/ downpipe and the cat-back exhaust system.
7. Slide clamp forward onto the catalytic converter/ downpipe.
8. Remove the nuts holding the downpipe to turbo (be careful the cat/ downpipe may fall).
9. Remove the catalytic converter/ downpipe from the car.
10. Mount the Autotech downpipe in the car using the removed nuts and no gasket (This is

done to temporarily fit the old cat to the new downpipe in step 12.

11. Cut the factory downpipe off the front of the catalytic converter at the existing weld

(diameter of the cat at this point should measure ~ 2.5”).

12. Hold the catalytic converter in it’s factory location and slide the clamp back over the

exhaust system.

13. Tack weld the new downpipe to the catalytic converter being carefull to align them properly.
14. Slide clamp back onto the catalytic converter, and remove the whole assembly from the car

(this will require removing the 4 nuts holding the downpipe to the turbo.

15. Weld the tack welded joint all the way around.
16. After the new downpipe assembly has had time to cool, mount into car using the supplied

gasket between the downpipe and turbo.

17. Slide clamp onto exhaust being careful to align it with the mark you made in step 3, and

tighten clamp bolts.

18. Re route the Oxygen sensor wires along heat shield and into the plastic cover for the plug.

(Plug the sensors into body harness before sliding into the plastic cover).

19. Re mount the plastic cover on the car using the original plastic nuts.
20. Lower the car back onto the ground and have fun !
