Concrete Installation Instruction
Follow this section if you have concrete ceiling construction.
Tools Required: 7/16” socket or wrench Drill 1/2” masonry drill bit Safety

o Using the Support Bar (C) from your HyLoft package as a template, place the support bar against the
ceiling and using a pencil mark the hole locations on the ceiling using the outside holes on each end
of the support bar.
o Next move the support bar parallel across the ceiling 24” and repeat Step 1.
o Next drill four ½” holes 1 ½” deep at the locations you just marked on the ceiling.
o Clean the dust and debris out of each hole.
o Insert the Concrete Expansion Anchor provided into each hole and make sure the threaded end of the
anchor goes in first. Tap it lightly until it is flush with the surface of the concrete.
o Connect the Downrod (E) to the ceiling using the bolts provided with the concrete anchors.
o Place the center hole of the downrod over the anchor and thread in the bolt into the anchor you
previously installed in the ceiling.
o Torque the bolt very tightly. Before moving onto the next downrod be sure that the bolt and anchor
are secure and the anchor will not pull out once the unit is loaded. This can be done by ensuring that
the bolt is very tightly seated against the anchor.
o Repeat this procedure for the remaining three Downrods.
o Now proceed with Step #1 in original instructions. Making sure to connect the downrod E you just
secured to the ceiling to the remaining downrod E in the package and no longer using downrod F or
the 3” angles provided.
