Note:

The basic layout for the paddle holder is shown below. The ideal location for your paddle holder is

determined by the width of your kayak, your paddling position, and your height and arm length. It is very
important to sit in your boat first to locate the pad eyes and hooks where they will not be contacted by your
hands while paddling.

Step 1.

Mark pad eye locations

• Locate the rear pad eye and hook approximately even with your hip when you are sitting

in the kayak. Mark locations.

• Locate the front pad eye and hook 24” to 26” in front of the rear pad eye and hook. Mark

locations.
