IMPORTANT:
Refer to heater interlock options under “Electrical” section of CPC-3 instructions for wiring and Heater inter-
lock diagrams with EXP-4E Module. Heater interlocks with each of the (4) EXP-4E Heater terminal strips are
identical to those with the CPC-3. Heater interlock locations #1 - #4 on EXP-4E board will become Heaters
(5-8 at EXP1 on CPC-3, 9-12 at EXP2 on CPC-3 or 13-16 at EXP-3 on CPC-3)

IMPORTANT: Make sure Power is
turned off to CPC-3 before connecting.

The CPC-3 supplies power to the EXP-4E Expansion Module. Turn CPC-3 circuit board on/off switch “off” and disconnect power at
breaker to CPC-3 Circuit Board before making power and communication connections to EXP-4E Expansion Board.
1. Mount the EXP-4E within (2) feet underneath the CPC-3 using mounting slots and supplied hardware.
2. Connect communications ribbon cable from EXP-4E to (EXP1 - Heaters 5-8, EXP2 - Heaters 9-12, EXP3 - Heaters 13-16) on
CPC-3 board underneath display.
3. Connect the Black wire from EXP-4E whip to L on one of the three CPC-3 Power Output L & N terminals at the bottom left of
CPC-3 board, next to main CPC-3 power input.
4. Connect the White wire from EXP-4E whip to N on the Power Output terminal strip connected to in step 3.
5. Connect the Green ground wire from EXP-4E whip to the ground screw in CPC-3 electrical box.
6. Wire each Heater into the #1, #2, #3 or #4 terminal strip on EXP-4E, see CPC-3 instructions for Heater Interlock diagrams.
