This unit has a dual cassette system. A tape can be played

back with Deck 1 and Deck 2.

S Single Tape Playback

1. Open the Cassette Compartment cover by pressing the

Stop/Eject Button. Insert the playback tape as shown in
the figure, and then close the Cassette Compartment
cover.

2. Set the Function Selector to ‘‘TAPE/[

off

]".

3. Set the Deck 1 Reverse Mode Selector to the desired

mode when playing back with Deck l.

ZD: Two-side playback mode

Repeat two-side playback mode

4. Press the Playback Button to begin tape playback.

•When playing back with Deck 1, you can select the

playback side by pressing the Direction Button.

5. Adjust the Volume, Graphic Equalizer Controls and XBS

Level Control as desired.

6. To stop the playback, press the Stop/Eject Button.

■ Automatic Playback Relay (Deck 1 to Deck 2)

When Deck 1 playback has finished, Deck 2 playback starts
automatically.

1. Insert the playback tapes into Deck 1 and Deck 2.

2. Set the Deck 1 Reverse Mode Selector to "
3. Press the Deck 1 Playback Button.
4. Press the Deck 2 Pause Button, then press the Playback

Button.

■ Fast Forward and Rewind

(Deck 1)

The tape will rapidly advance in the forward or reverse

direction when one of the Fast Buttons is pressed.

(Deck 2)

The tape will move rapidly forward when the Fast Forward

Button is pressed.

The tape will rewind rapidly when the Rewind Button is

pressed.

Note;

Do not press the Playback Button during fast forward

or rewind, as this may jam the tape. Always press the

Stop/Eject Button first, between functions.

■ Cue and Review (Oniy Deck 2)

If the Cue Button (or Review Button) is partially pressed
during playback, the recorded sound on the tape can be
monitored at a fast speed.
When the button is released, playback will resume.

■ Auto-Stop

During playback, when the tape reaches its end, the
automatic stop system will release the Playback Button and
automaticatly turn the unit off. During tape playback, if the
Deck 1 Reverse Mode Selector is set to “

" position,

the automatic stop system does not function.

Note:

•When the tape reaches the end by pressing the

Fast Button, the automatic stop system does not

function. The tape will stop, but as the motor

continues to turn, do not leave the set in this
condition. Be sure to press the Stop/Eject Button,
