Front Panel

(A) EMERGENCY EJECTION HOLE—Use this when the shutter will not open. Turn off the drive’s

power, and insert the emergency ejection pin (included) into this hole. When the tray moves

forward, pull it out with your hands. Do not use the pin under normal circumstances.

(B) HEADPHONE JACK—for plugging in headphones equipped with a stereo mini jack or speakers.
(C) VOLUME CONTROL—for adjusting the volume of the sound from the headphones or speakers.
(D) PD/CD IDENTIFICATION LAMP—this lights up orange when a PD cartridge is inside the drive; it

lights up green when a CD disc is inside.

(E) BUSY LAMP—this lights up when the drive is being accessed.

Green:

CD or CD-ROM play

PD cartridge read/write when write cache is OFF
PD cartridge read when write cache is OFF

Orange: PD cartridge write when write cache is ON

(F) EJECT BUTTON—for opening and closing the tray.
(G) TRAY—the PD cartridges, CDs and CD-ROMs are placed on this tray.
