RECORDING FROM AN EXTERNAL COMPONENT ONTO THE HDD

Setting for a timer recording

Memo

You cannot set a timer recording for CD-R and CD-RW copying.

You can skip to step 3 in the following procedure by pressing TIMER REC on Ihe remote coulrol.

Carry out steps 1 and 2 in “Recording input audio

source” (P.31).

For Ihe HDD recording mode (P.35), select one of "IVIanuar’
(manual recording), “Track Synchro” (track-synchronized
recording) or “Auto Period” (auto-period recording). Other
modes cannot be selected when timer recording is made.

2a Press and hold REC for approximately three seconds

(press TIMER REC on the remote control).

The followdng screen appears in the display.

Press w<i/<!<i or w>/w:H (press

■« or ► on the

remote control) to switch between hour and minute,

then rotate the MULTI JOG knob (press +/-, * or ▼ on
the remote control) to adjust the total recording time.

4a Press the MULTI JOG knob (ENTER on the remote

control) to confirm the total time of timer recording.

“Timer

Standby” appears on the display.

5a Leave the power of this unit on. Turn off the power

of this unit by the external timer.

If the power of this unil is Itirned on by the external timer,
“Timer Standby” Hashes for approximately five seconds. Then
recording starts according lo the setting.

Memo:

Once timer recording is set, recording starts every time the power of
this unil is turned on. To cancel Ihe setting, press n while “Timer
Standby” is flashing, or while recording is being made.

To cancel timer recording setting, press n.
