RX (Reception) SETTINGS Menu

For details on accessing the settings below, see p. 14-3.

The selectable settings and the default settings vary depending on the country where you have
purchased the FAX. The values shown here are average values.

ECM RX

Enables/disables Error Correction Mode (ECM) during
reception.

Selects the receive mode (

If you select

FAX/TEL AUTO SW, you can select

additional sub-settings (

FAX ONLY MODE

INCOMING RING

When the

RX MODE setting is set to FAX ONLY MODE or

FAX/TEL AUTO SW, this setting enables/disables ringing
when the FAX receives a call.**

RING COUNT

Selects the number of rings before the FAX begins
receiving.

MAN/AUTO SWITCH

When the receive mode is set to

MANUAL MODE, this

setting determines if the FAX switches to fax receive
mode after it rings for a specified time.

F/T RING TIME

If you select

ON above, this setting selects the length of

time the FAX rings before switching to fax receive mode.

REMOTE RX

Enables/disables remote receiving.

REMOTE RX ID

If you select

ON above, this setting selects the remote

receiving ID.

MEMORY RX

Enables/disables reception of a document in the FAX’s
memory when a problem occurs during reception.

RX PAGE FOOTER

Enables/disables printing of the reception date and time,
page number, and transaction number (TX/RX NO.) at the
bottom of each received fax page.

INCOMING RING to ON, ringing will only occur if you have connected the optional

handset or a telephone to your unit.
