INSTALLATION / REMOVAL INSTRUCTIONS

Sterile Unless Unit Package Damaged or Opened – Single Use – Disposable

Instructions For Use:

1. Connect patient end Luer Connector on the tubing to the appropriate surgical device

(stopcock on trocar/cannula).

2. Connect large open end of tubing to Buffalo Filter® Smoke Evacuator filter inlet port. If fluid will be evacuated,

please use fluid suction container (P/N SCC1001).

3. Position the drape clip.

4. When smoke plume needs to be evacuated, either depress the suction on/off button on the Buffalo Filter

®

Surgical

Plume Smoke Evacuation System or utilize the EZLink Automatic Activation Device (Model EZLink01) to activate
the evacuator and then turn the stopcock on the trocar to open to remove the smoke from the surgical site.

5. When connecting the PlumePort SEO to a Buffalo Filter Smoke Evacuator, the recommended suction settings are

as follows:

ViroVac: Medium

PSW TURBO AS: 100% Normal

Suction levels can be increased or decreased dependent upon smoke generation during a specific surgical
procedure.

CAUTION

Use the lowest possible setting for removal of smoke plume from the surgical site.

CAUTION

Extended smoke removal by the stopcock on the trocar may cause reduction of the pneumoperitonium.
