Braiding

When you want to make coordinating trim or belts, serge
over a tape using ornamental threads, such as yarn, ribbon
or buttonhole twist, in the upper iooper.
Choose matching or contrasting colors depending on the
effect desired.

Method

Disengage upper knife.

Serge over tape.

Make sure the needle drops just off the left end of the tape.

NOTE

You can use cord, yarn or ribbon instead of tape.
To thread yarn, ribbon or buttonhole twist, use the same
method applied for threading woolly nylon/polyester
thread.

Return upper knife to engaged position.
Engage upper knife.
