The wires in this mains lead are coloured in

As the colours of the wires m the mains lead of this

marking identifying the terminals in your plug proceed
as follows:

The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to

the terminal which is marked with the letter N or
coloured black.

The wire which is coloured brown must be connected

to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or
coloured red.

Do not connect either wire to the earth terminal of a
three pin plug.

Equipment sold in the U.K. is not supplied with a power
plug.

OUTDOOR ANTENNA GROUNDING - If an outside an

tenna is connected to the antenna terminal, be sure
the antenna system is grounded so as to provide

some protection against voltage surges and built
up static charges.

In the U-S-A. section 810 of the National Electrical

Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70-1984, provides informa­
tion with respect to proper grounding of the mast

end Supporting structure, grounding of the Jead-in

wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding
conductors, location of antenna discharge unit,

connection to groundir^g electrodes, and require­

ments for the grounding electrode. See Fig. A.

CART - An appliance and cart combination should be

moved with car®. Quick slops, excessive force, and
uneven surfaces may cause the appliance and cart

combination to overturn.
