Appendix B: Basic Alarm Manager Configuration Examples

System Components

Example 1

A push-button alarm (double press) is received from 1440. A message is sent to the other
handsets and a siren starts to sound. The alarm is cancelled by sending the data 1440 and
then the siren stops.

Two events are created. One that handles the push-button alarm called “Push-button
alarm from 1440” and one that handles the cancellation called “Alarm cancellation”.

The duration is not defined which means that the siren will sound until another action is
started.

It doesn’t matter which handset that sends the data so the trigger is general when it
