Re-tipping of cutting plates is only allowed by specialists who are experienced in brazing

and who can assess the influence of the brazing process concerning the tensions in the

body and the cutting material.
When debrazing damaged tips and afterwards brazing new tips, it shall be ensured, that

the cutting elements are correctly fastened and that critical tension won’t be created in the

body due to the brazing process.
The design of composite tools (e.g. tools with brazed tips) is not allowed to be changed at

the servicing.
Tool labellings, which have been affected by modification / re-tipping, have to be updated.

Name/ logo of the modifying / re-tipping company have to be added.

1.6.2

Sharpening

TC-tipped circular sawblades principally should be resharpened from the cutting area on

and from the clearance face on in order to optimally use the tooth.
When resharpening the clearance faces reduce the tool body diameter to maintain the

tooth height.
Grinding only the cutting area reduces the number of possible resharpenings.
DP-tipped circular sawblades exclusively are sharpened on the clearance face.
For safety reasons circular sawblades with a tooth height less then 1 mm have to be

scraped.
Ask the tool manufacturer for the sharpening instruction.
