Find a flat work surface to assemble the tile hanger bar , mounting plate, wire rope clip, hanger bar extension, access point,
and antennas (if needed) prior to mounting above the ceiling.

Step 1 – Place the components on the work surface and attach the wire rope clip to the tile span. Use a pair of pliers to pinch
and squeeze the wire rope clip between the tile span (Figure 1). Turn clockwise to snap the wire rope clip in place.

Step 2 – Attach the mounting plate/dust cover with (2) #10-32
screws (Figure 2).

Step 3 – Use the manufacturers T-Bar mount clip to attach the access point to the T-Bar Section on the mounting plate. An
additional mounting plate provided by the manufacturer of the access point may be needed to attach the access point (Figure
3). Data cable(s) may need to be plugged in to the access point prior to attaching to the mount. Cisco access points use
Cisco
AIR-AP-BRACKET-2 for 2600/3600 series access points and AIR-AP-BRACKET-1 for 1140/3500 series.

Step 4 – If using an access point with integrated antennas, skip to Step 5. Attach the Z-Dual antennas to the mounting plate
by placing cable through hole in mounting plate and screwing the nut to the back of the antenna. Loop the antennas cables to
the outside of the mounting plate and attach them to the access point (Figure 4).

Step 5 – Attach the hanger bar extensions to the hanger bar on both ends as shown in Figure 5. The hanger bar extensions
should snap into place when installed correctly.

The assembled unit is now ready to be mounted above the ceiling tile.
