INSTALLATION NOTE

1. General

The TII Angle Driver

®

with fusible link (ADX-FL) is

designed to be used as a cross connect module.
The base assembly incorporates fusing elements
which consists of six inches of 26 gauge wire for
each tip and ring connector. The fusing elements
are designed to protect the customer from sneak
currents carried along the tip and ring conductors.

2. Installation

The ADX-FL is delivered with a universal
mounting tab. If installing a module into a NID,
break away the unwanted mounting tab from the
module using a pair of pliers and discard (see Fig
2). Install module on desired NID ground post
and secure with washer and nut.

3. Wiring

The two upper ports of the ADX-FL with fuse link
are intended to terminate subscriber (customer)
wires. Telco drop (feeder) wires must be
terminated in the two lower ports.

Upper Port Subscriber Connections (see Fig 3)
Subscriber terminations are made as follows:

Do not strip wire insulation. Make certain wire

ends are cut flush with insulation.

Unscrew the Driver screw to the full upright

position.

Fully insert the two subscriber wires into their

respective tip and ring (color-coded) ports.

Dress the wires through the strain relief slots

to hold them in place (see Fig 3).

Lower Port Telco Connections (see Fig 4)

Do not strip wire insulation. Make certain wire

ends are cut flush with insulation.

Unscrew the Driver screw to full upright

position.

Fully insert the two feeder (telco) wires into

their respective tip and ring (color-coded)
ports.

While holding the two telco wires in place

tighten Driver screw to full down position.
