Configuring TCP/IP

Make sure all

client

computers are configured for TCP/IP, which is a protocol for

communication between computers. Perform one of the following for the operating
system you are running:

Configuring TCP/IP in Windows 2000

Configuring TCP/IP in Windows XP

Configuring TCP/IP in Windows Vista

• For Macintosh or UNIX systems, follow the instructions in the applicable

Macintosh or UNIX user documentation.

After configuring TCP/IP on your computer, you must verify the IP address. Perform
one of the following:

Verifying the IP Address in Windows 2000 or Windows XP

Verifying the IP Address in Windows Vista

• For Macintosh or UNIX systems, follow the instructions in the applicable

Macintosh or UNIX user documentation.

Configuring TCP/IP in Windows 2000

1. Select Control Panel from either the Windows Start menu or Windows Desktop

to display the Control Panel window.

2. Double-click Network and Dial-up Connections to display the Network and Dial-up

Connections window.
