IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Read all instructions before operating

Do not look directly at the light; may cause injury

Do not use in flammable or explosive environments

Do not operate at temperatures above 120°F

Avoid placing siren near the ears when using the siren

To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not submerge the unit or its accessories in any liquid. Unit is water

resistant but not waterproof.

Turn off all lights and radio features before charging

For maximum battery efficiency, never completely deplete stored power

Store in a clean dry place when not in use

Administer close supervision when using around children

Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the

FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.

This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the

instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not

occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be

determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of more of the

following measures:

Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna

Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver

Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected

Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help

Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must

accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

PARTS IDENTIFICATION

CHARGING THE BATTERY

Before first use, open the battery compartment cover and attach the battery with the provided connector.
Seat into the battery compartment and replace the cover.

Before charging turn off all light and radio features. The BATTERY METER in the LCD display will appear during
charging or when using the flashlight or radio.
Dynamo Charging:

Open the HAND CRANk and rotate clockwise at approximately 120 cycles/minute for a minimum of one minute. A

CHARgINg INDICATOR LIgHT will illuminate above the hand crank. Longer wind-up times will yield a longer power

duration. Close the HAND CRANk when done.
USB, 120V AC or 12V DC Charging (120V & 12V adapters not included):

The USB adapter may be used to charge the unit directly from any USB power source. An optional method requires a

USB compatible 120V AC or 12V DC adapter available from your local electronics store.

1.

Plug the male pin tip on the USB CHARgE CABLE into the DC INPUT port of the unit and then plug the adapter

into a USB port.

2.

If using the optional 120V or 12V adapters, connect either one to the USB end of the USB CHARgE CABLE and

into any electrical outlet or vehicle power receptacle.

3.

Charging will begin when connected. The CHARgINg INDICATOR above the Dynamo Handle will

illuminate. To avoid damage to the battery and circuit, disconnect the adapter after charging.

OPERATION (the battery meter should have at least 1 bar)
Flashlight: Press the FLASHLIgHT ON/OFF button to turn the flashlight on and off.
AM/FM/NOAA Weather Band Radio:

1.

Extend the ANTENNA to obtain the best reception.

2.

Press the POWER button on the front to turn on and off.

3.

Select either the AM, FM or Weather band pressing the BAND button. The radio station and radio band

will appear on the backlit LCD SCREEN. When choosing the Weatherband mode you will need to identify

which frequency receives your local weather report.

4.

Adjust the volume by pressing the VOL+/VOL- buttons.

5.

Tune to the desired station using the

<< >>

tuning buttons. Cycle through the frequencies by pressing

repeatedly. Or scan the frequency for the next audible station by pressing and holding the up or down

button for a few seconds then releasing. Repeat to hear the next audible station. NOAA weatherband

information is listed on the back page.

Weather Alert Mode:

The Weatherband Alert mode, when set, will automatically turn on the radio when any emergency alert from

NOAA is activated in your area. In this mode it is recommended that you use a continuous source of power

such as an accessory 120V AC charger to ensure the unit is always charged.

Turn the radio on and press the ALERT button. The ALERT symbol will flash in the LCD Display. The radio

is now on Stand-By and will turn on and tune in to the weather band station currently broadcasting an

emergency NOAA alert (including an Amber Alert).

To deactivate, press the BAND button again to return to normal radio listening.

Siren and Flashing Red Light:

Press the SIREN button on the front. The high-volume emergency siren will sound and the red LED on the back
will blink.
Clock:

To set the clock, turn off all other functions first. Press and hold the BAND button until the Hours are blinking in

the display. Use the

buttons to set the time in hours. Press and hold the BAND button again until the

Minutes are blinking in the display. Use the

<< >>

buttons to set the time in minutes. NOTE: If the battery

drains, the clock will not function.
CEll PHONE CHARGING - (using a USB compatible cell phone charger, not included)

1.

Press the CELL button until the USB symbol is shown in the LCD display.

2.

Plug the CELL PHONE ADAPTER CORD into the CELL PHONE OUTPUT identified by the cell phone icon on

the protective rubber input cover.

3.

Plug the other end into your cell phone’s USB compatible charger. Charging will begin immediately if the

units battery is charged or when winding the dynamo hand crank.
