Application

The NID-01V splitter is required to provide xDSL signal separation from the voice line within the customer’s residence.

Preparation

The NID-01V does not require an earth ground.

Only use 22AWG, 24AWG or 26AWG solid conductor type for the installation.

An electrical box depth of 1-7/8, or greater, is required for this installation.

Instructions

Assemble two (2) Datajack connectors with the wire
length shown. These will be used for the Modem and
Phone connections. Maintain wire twist at all times.

Snip off the NID top mounting tab.

Pull each IDC towards you, until it swings open and
stops.

The NID-01V has three connectors:

• Modem – customer’s xDSL modem.

• Line – the incoming line.

• Phone - customer’s telephone

Each IDC connector can accommodate only one pair
of wires.

If the wire has been previously used, cut-off
approximately ½” from the end, before inserting into
the IDC connectors on the NID-01V.
