PROGRAMMING YOUR

REMOTE

Your 7-in-1 NFL Universal

Remote

®

will fulfill all of your

remote control needs. This univer-

sal remote can control two televi-

sions, a VCR player, a DVD play-

er, a cable or satellite box, a receiv-

er or AMP, and your AUX box.

There are three different meth-

ods to program your remote to all

of your devices: manual search

mode, quick search mode and auto

search mode.
MANUAL SEARCH MODE

To program your remote under

Manual Search Mode, first look up

the three-digit code for your device

in the “Device Codes” section of

this manual. There may be several

codes listed for your TV’s manu-

facturer.

If your device is not listed, try

searching under Quick Search

Mode or Auto Search Mode. Once

you’ve found your device in the

list, follow these steps.

First press and hold the

SET

and

POWER

buttons until the LED turns

on.

Then press the device key (

that you wish to program. The LED

will flash once.

Then using the number buttons,

enter the three-digit code for your

device. After entering each button,

the LED will flash once.

Then press the

ENTER

button to

store the code number.

If the code has been entered cor-

rectly, the LED will flash three

times and then turn off. Otherwise,

if it doesn’t flash three times, you

need to repeat all of the previous

steps.

To test the code, point the foot-

ball at the TV and press the power

button. If the TV turns on or off,

the correct code has been pro-

grammed. If your TV does not turn

on or off, try the next code on the

How to Use

Your remote requires two AA

batteries, not included. Follow

the steps below to install the

batteries.

1. Place the seam side down

in the palm of your hand.

2. Squeeze the area marked

OPEN on both sides with your

thumb and middle fingers.

3. Pull the top portion off to

open the unit.

4. Push down on the arrow

and simultaneously slide open

the top of the battery compart-

ment.

5. Insert the batteries match-

ing the polarity (+ and -) with

the diagram inside the battery

compartment.

6. Slide the lid back into its

place.

7. Close the two halves of the

football. You will hear a snap,

indicating the unit is locked

into place.

You are now ready to pro-

gram your devices.

Installing Batteries

: Press to rewind in VCR or DVD

mode.

: Press to play in VCR or DVD

mode.

: Press to fast forward in VCR or

DVD mode.

: Press to record in VCR or DVD

mode.

: Press to stop in VCR or DVD

mode.

: Press to pause in VCR or DVD

mode.

: Press to scroll up in a menu screen,

: Press to scroll down in a menu

screen.

: Press to scroll left in a menu

screen.

: Press to scroll right in a menu

QUICK SEARCH MODE

To program your remote under

Quick Search Mode, first turn on

the device you wish to program

and point the remote toward it.

Then press and hold the

SET

buttons until the

Do not hit the

key again.

to save the code.

key to verify

that the TV turns on and off.

Please be patient. Your remote

is searching through all of the

codes and you may need to press

CH

+

and

POWER

more than a

hundred times to find the correct

code.

AUTO SEARCH MODE

To program your remote in

Auto Search Mode, first turn on

the device you wish to program

and point the remote toward it.

Then press and hold the

SET

and

POWER

buttons until the

LED turns on.

Then press the device key

gram. The LED will flash once.

for about two seconds until the

LED turns on. Release the

POWER

button and the LED will

flash slowly. Your remote is

searching through all of the

codes. Continue to point the

remote at the device until your

device responds.

If your device turns off, turn it

back on and press the

CH

+

button

on your remote. Then press the

POWER

button and

CH

+

button

alternately until the device turns off

and the code is correct. Press the

ENTER

button to confirm and store

the code. The LED will flash three

times and then turn off.

FINDING YOUR

DEVICE CODE

If your code is not available in

the “Device Code” section, you can

find out your device’s code after

programming in Quick Search

Mode or Auto Search Mode by fol-

lowing these steps.

First, press the device button on

your remote.

Then press and hold the

SET

but-

ton. While holding the

SET

button,

press 1 to find the first digit, 2 to

find the second digit or 3 to find the

third digit.

The LED flashing time will

stand for each code number. If it

doesn’t flash, it will stand for zero.

For example, the TV code you

are trying to find is 102.

Press the

SET

button and

LED will flash one time.

Press the

LED will flash two times.

Press the

SET

. The

LED will flash three times.

AFTER YOU’VE

PROGRAMMED

YOUR REMOTE

After you’ve programmed your

remote, you are now ready to use it

for all of your remote needs.

To use, first press the device key

for the device you wish to control.

Then press the function buttons

that you wish to modify. For exam-

ple, if you want to lower the vol-

ume of your television, press

every time. Your remote will be set

to the device last used.
