Special Care & Handling

EXCALIBUR ELECTRONICS, INC., warrants to the original consumer that its products are free
from any electrical or mechanical defects for a period of 90 DAYS from the date of purchase. If
any such defect is discovered within the warranty period, EXCALIBUR ELECTRONICS, INC., will
repair or replace the unit free of charge upon receipt of the unit, shipped postage prepaid and
insured to the factory address below. The warranty covers normal consumer use and does not
cover damage that occurs in shipment or failure that results from alterations, accident, misuse,
abuse, neglect, wear and tear, inadequate maintenance, commercial use, or unreasonable use
of the unit. Removal of the top panel voids all warranties. This warranty does not cover cost of
repairs made or attempted outside of the factory. Any applicable implied warranties, including
warranties of merchantability and fitness, are hereby limited to 90 DAYS from the date of
purchase. Consequential or incidental damages resulting from a breach of any applicable
express or implied warranties are hereby excluded. Some states do not allow limitations on the
duration of implied warranties and do not allow exclusion of incidental or consequential
damages, so the above limitations and exclusions in these instances may not apply. The only

Ship the unit carefully packed, preferably in the original carton, and send it prepaid, and
adequately insured. Include a letter detailing the complaint, along with your daytime
telephone number, inside the shipping carton. If your warranty has expired and you want an
estimated fee for service, write to the above address, specifying the model and the problem.

Projector Alarm Clock. Enjoy hours of great music, soothing sounds and the
convenience of a projected clock with this innovative speaker set. It’s
compatible with most iPod models. Your SOUNDMASTER Projector Alarm
Clock includes crystal-clear sound from four custom-designed neodymium
micro drivers. It has a built-in docking station that provides synchronization,
data transfer and recharging options. It even has a secondary input jack to
connect your SOUNDMASTER Projector Alarm Clock to
your computer. Your SOUNDMASTER Projector Alarm
Clock is easy to use, but be sure to use it safely.
Before starting, please read this manual
thoroughly, especially noting safety and
care. Keep this manual for reference. This
package includes one SOUNDMASTER
Projector Alarm Clock, seven dock
adapters, one AC adapter, one AM

The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral
triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of
uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure

The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended
to alert the user to the presence of important operating and
maintenance (sevicing) instructions in the literature
accompanying the appliance.

The house with an arrowhead symbol is intended to alert the user
to use the transformer in normal indoor temperatures, not

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read and keep these instructions for reference.

Heed all warnings and follow all instructions.

Do not use this product near water.

Clean using only a slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleaners with harsh chemical
agents or detergents.

Do not block any of the ventilation openings.

Install and use in accordance with the manufacturers instructions.

Do not place product near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or
other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

This product may be equipped with a polarized alternating-current line plug (a plug
having one blade wider than the other). This plug will fit into the power outlet only
one way. This is a safety feature; if you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet,
try reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact your electrician to
replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.

Protect the power cord from being damaged or pinched.

Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

Unplug product during lighting storms or when you are not going to use it for a long
period of time.

Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Service is required when the product
has been damaged in any way. This includes, but isn't limited to, a damaged power
supply cord or plug, liquid spilt or an object dropped onto the product, exposure to
rain or moisture, dropping the product or the product not operating normally.

Power: Press this button to turn the unit on, press it again to turn the unit off.

Audio: Press this button repeatedly to switch between iPod mode, RADIO and AUX
mode, corresponding icon will be displayed on the LED to show current audio source.

AM/FM: Press the AUDIO button repeatedly to switch between AM and FM radio,
corresponding icon will be displayed on the LED display to show selected radio
function, when AM or FM is selected, you can tune in the desired station by turning
the left knob.

Sounds: To listen to nature sounds, press this button. Continue pressing to cycle
through the different sounds: FIELD, DAYBREAK, WATER or OCEAN.

Sleep: Press this button to select a time period after which the unit will automati-
cally turn off. By pressing this button repeatedly the following digits: 10,20,30…or
90 will be show on the LED display indicating the corresponding minutes the unit
will play before automatically turning off. The sleep function can also be turned
off by pressing this button until the OFF icon is displayed on the LED.

Time set: Press this button to set the time. Press repeatedly to choose and adjust
the hour and minutes, while the corresponding digit is flashing, you can adjust it
by turning the left knob until the desired numeral is displayed.

Dimmer: Press this button repeatedly to choose the LED brightness mode
between: BRIGHT, MODERATE, OFF.

Functions of the SOUNDMASTER Projector Alarm Clock

Projector: Press the PROJECTOR ON/OFF button once to turn the projector ON. The
time will be projected onto the wall in blue. Press again to turn the projector OFF.

TRE/BASS: Press this button repeatedly to choose between treble or bass. Use the
volume knob to adjust to desired level.

Snooze Operation: Press the SNOOZE/NAP button on the unit while the alarm is
sounding. The alarm will turn off temporarily and return again in approx 9
minutes. You may repeat this feature until you turn the alarm off.

Nap Operation: The NAP function will wake you after a nap without the need to
change your regular Alarm1 or Alarm2 settings. To operate Nap function:

1. If the system is playing, press the POWER button to off.

2. Toggle through the SNOOZE/NAP button until the corresponding blue LED light
illuminates next to the time of your choice: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 60 minutes.

3. Toggle through the AL MODE until the corresponding blue LED light illuminates
next to the wake mode of your choice: iPod, Sound, Radio or Beep.

4. The wake up alarm will sound after the selected amount of minutes has passed.

5. To cancel the NAP function, press the SNOOZE/NAP button until the blue LED
light shows the OFF icon.

Setting and Using the Alarm

Setting Alarm1 or Alarm2 (Individually):
1. Press the AL1/AL2 button on the unit. The AL1 or AL2 icon will appear in the
upper right hand corner on the LCD display to indicate which alarm is activated.

2. Press the AL SET button, hour digit will begin flashing. Turn the SET

/ knob

until the desired hour is displayed.
Note: when setting the time to AM or PM (an icon to the left of the time display
will indicate PM , there is no AM indicator).

3. Press the AL SET button again, minute digits will begin flashing. Turn the
SET

/ knob until the desired minute is displayed.

4. Press the AL SET button again to exit the alarm setting mode or after 5 seconds
the display will stop flashing to indicate the alarm is set.

5. Toggle through the AL MODE button until the corresponding blue LED light
illuminates next to the wake mode of your choice: iPod, Sound, Radio, or Beep.
Note: to when using the SOUND mode, the unit will set to the last sound you
listened to. If you wish to change it, first, turn the power on, then press the SOUND
button to select the nature sound you wish to wake to. Lastly, turn the power off.

6. When the alarm is sounding, press the POWER button on the unit to turn the
alarm OFF. The alarm will come on again next day at the same time.

7. To disarm the alarm, press the AL1/ AL2 button to the OFF position. The AL1 or
AL2 icon will disappear on the LCD display to indicate the alarm is disarmed.

Setting Alarm1 and Alarm2 (Together):
1. Press the AL1/AL2 button on the unit, The AL1 and AL2 icon will appear on the
LCD display to indicate both alarms are activated. Note: You cannot change the
alarm time when BOTH is selected. If you need to change the alarm time for either
alarm, follow step 1 under Setting Alarm1 or Alarm 2 (Individually).

2. Toggle through the AL MODE button until the corresponding blue LED light
illuminates next to the wake mode of your choice: iPod, Sound, Radio or Beep.
Both AL1 & AL2 must wake to the same mode. Note: To wake to iPod, your iPod
must be properly docked in the unit, or it will default to beep wake mode. Note:
When using the Sound mode, the unit will set to the last sound you listened to. If
you wish to change it, first, turn the POWER on, then press the SOUND button to
select what you wish to wake to. Lastly, turn the power off.

3. When the alarm is sounding, press the POWER button to turn the alarm off. The
alarm will sound again the next day at the same time.

4. To disarm the alarm, press the AL1/AL2 button to the OFF position. The AL1 and
AL2 icons will disappear on the LCD display to indicate the alarms are disarmed.
