Settings saved using the D500 can be restored by selecting Load
settings
. Note that Save/load settings is only available when a
memory card is inserted in the camera, and that the Load
settings
option is only available if the card contains saved
settings.

Reset all settings except Language and Time zone and date to
their default values (

0 10). Copyright information, IPTC presets,

and other user-generated entries are also reset. We recommend
that you save settings using the Save/load settings option in
the setup menu before performing a reset (

0 155).

View the current camera firmware version.

Saved Settings

Settings are saved in a file with a name beginning with “NCSETUP” and
ending with two characters that differ from camera to camera. The
camera will not be able to load settings if the file name is changed.
