Surface Cleaning

HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for a period of one
year from the date of original purchase, except as noted below. HoMedics warrants that its products will be free of defects
in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend
to Retailers.
To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, mail the product and your dated sales receipt (as proof of purchase),

HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent consumer purchaser of the
product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate HoMedics in any way beyond the terms set forth herein. This
warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory;
alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power
supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer’s
recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use
during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever
that are beyond the control of HoMedics.
This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product is purchased. A
product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any other country than the country for which it was
designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered
under this warranty.
THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER
WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FiTNESS OR ANY
OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY.
HOMEDICS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT
SHALL THIS WARRANTY REQUIRE MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH
ARE FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. IF
REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR DEFECTIVE MATERIALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, HOMEDICS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE
PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS IN LIEU OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.
This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repackaged and/or resealed products, including but
not limited to sale of such products on Internet auction sites and/or sales of such products by surplus or bulk resellers. Any
and all warranties or guarantees shall immediately cease and terminate as to any products or parts thereof which are repaired,
replaced, altered, or modified, without the prior express and written consent of HoMedics.
This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may have additional rights which may vary from country to country.

NOTE: For first time use and with each new

wick, you must soak the wick before operating.
Unlock the spring loaded wick by turning to
the wick holder to the left. Remove the wick
from the wick holder and soak the wick in
water for 2 minutes. Replace the wick into the
wick holder and secure to the humidifier top
cover by turning to the right.

CAUTION: DO NOT operate the humidifier
without first soaking the wick. The humidifier
WILL NOT function without a wick.

3. Fill the water tank with clean, cool (not cold) tap

water to the MAX FILL line. DO NOT OVERFILL.
We recommend using distilled water if you live in a
hard water area.

4. Replace the humidifier top cover by turning

clockwise until tight.

5. To turn on, press the ON/OFF button on the

Top Cover. The LED light will illuminate when the
humidifier is ON.

NOTE: This humidifier does not include an Auto

Shut-off when the unit runs out of water. The unit
MUST be unplugged when not in use or when the
water runs out.

How to Change Wick

1. Remove replacement wick from package and soak in water for 2 minutes.
2. Unlock the spring loaded wick by turning the wick holder to the left and

removing from the top cover. (Fig 4)

3. Remove the old wick from the wick holder and discard.
4. Place the new, soaked wick into the wick holder.
5. Place the wick holder back on the unit and lock into place by turning the

holder to the right.

Cleaning and Care

CAUTION: Before cleaning the unit, turn power off and unplug unit from the
outlet.

Tank Cleaning
Unscrew the humidifier top cover from the water
reservoir by turning the top cover counter-
clockwise. Lift the top cover off and set aside
Wipe the reservoir with a soft cloth then rinse it
with clean water. Suggestion: Clean the water
tank once every two to three weeks, depending
on your water conditions.

Ultrasonic Nebulizer Cleaning

To clean the ultrasonic nebulizer, you must first
remove the spring loaded wick. To remove the
wick, turn the top humidifier cover over. Turn the
spring loaded wick holder to the left. Remove the
spring loaded wick and set aside.

Make a solution of mild dish soap and water. Dip
a soft bristle brush into the solution and brush
ultrasonic nebulizer. Wipe clean with a soft cloth.

NOTE: DO NOT pour water into the ultrasonic
nebulizer or submerge unit in water.

How to Use

CAUTION: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than

the other). To reduce the risk of shock, this plug is intended to fit only one

way in a polarized outlet. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse

the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT

attempt to defeat this safety feature. To do so could result in an electric

shock hazard.

Power ON/OFF Button
Plug unit in to either a 120 volt AC electrical outlet or USB Port. Push the
POWER Button once to turn unit on. Push again to turn the unit off.

How to Fill

CAUTION: Before filling unit with water, turn power off and unplug unit from
the outlet.

1. Unscrew the humidifier top cover from the water

reservoir by turning the top cover counter-
clockwise.

Lift the top cover off and set aside.

pad is recommended for use under the humidifier. Never place it on a
rug or carpet, or on a finished floor that may be damaged by exposure

• Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after

using and before cleaning.

• DO NOT reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug it

immediately.

• DO NOT use water above 86º Fahrenheit.
• An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in.
• Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual.

Do not use attachments not recommended by HoMedics; specifically
any attachments not provided with the unit.

• NEVER operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is

• Do not place the humidifier near heat sources, such as a stove and do

not expose the humidifier to the direct sunlight.

• Never cover the appliance when it is in operation.
• Do not touch the water in the main unit or the parts in the water when

the unit is on.

• Perform regular maintenance of the Ultrasonic Nebulizer.
• Never use detergent to clean the ultrasonic nebulizer that is not

recommended by the manufacturer.

• Never scrape the ultrasonic nebulizer with a hard object to clean.
• Do not repair or adjust the unit. Servicing must be performed by

professional or qualified personnel.

• Stop use if there is an unusual noise or smell. Servicing should be

performed by qualified personnel only.

• Never operate unit without water in the tank. Only use water in the tank.
• Never add any additive to the water that is not produced or under the

supervision of the manufacturer.

• Keep the appliance out of reach from children. Do not allow children to

use the appliance without supervision.

• This appliance is designed for personal, non-professional use only.
