Towing instructions

Your vehicle can be towed if disabled due to damage. Use
the upper link support at the front at the driver’s cab for
towing.

DANGER
The towing vehicle must have sufficient trac-
tive and braking force for the towed load with-
out brakes.

-

The towed load must not exceed the permissible total
weight.
The total weight of the vehicle is given on the identifi-
cation plate and in the tables of weights in the techni-
cal data.

-

Attach the towing device (in case of failure of the brake
only a rigid tow bar) to the upper link support (1).

-

Set the forward/reverse selector lever to the centre
position (no direction of travel selected).

-

Let the engine run so that the power steering is in
operation.

CAUTION
If the engine is not running during towing or
the hydraulic system has failed, steering is
difficult. Increased effort is required for steer-
ing in this case.

-

Have the vehicle towed to the nearest workshop at a
maximum of 10 km/h.

-

Park the vehicle secured against rolling.
