Check V-belt tension and condition

CAUTION
Service V-belts only with the engine station-
ary.

Inspect V-belts for cracks and tears over the entire
length.

Replace damaged V-belts.

Using thumb pressure, check if the V-belt can not be
depressed more than 10 - 15 mm.

To tighten V-belts: Loosen the idler pulley mounting
screws and push the pulley outwards until the proper V-
belt tension is reached.

Tighten the idler pulley mounting fastening screws.
