Installing the DW6000 using Installer
Console
The installation specification may direct you to install the
DW6000 using the Installer Console. You would access the
console via Hyperterminal configured to use a TCP/IP
connection. Follow the instructions in Installing DIRECWAY
installation software on installer laptop on page 73.
Items needed for
installation You need all the items shown in Figure 85. Everything except the
Ethernet cable is provided. You must provide an Ethernet cable.
You can use either a crossover or straight-through cable. You will
also need the installation specification or work order. This is
provided to you by HNS.
Qualify customer PC with
qualification tool
Insert the disk containing the customer PC qualification tool in
the customer computer. Run all the checks in to tool to ensure the
customer’s computer is set up to work with the DW6000.
