EMERGENCY STARTING
OPERATION

Set the controls the same as for
normal starting (see pages
). Use the choke and fast idle
controls if the engine is cold.
Turn the ignition switch key to the
ON position.
If the battery is discharged, or the
starter motor is inoperative, you can
start the engine manually using the
emergency starter rope supplied with
the tool kit.
Unlock and remove the engine
cover. Remove the timing belt cover by
unscrewing the four cover bolts
and unlatching the three clips. 1. 2.
