Checking your answering machine:

An example of checking your answering machine at a distance may be:
To hear all messages, code 3 may be used on your answering machine, your password may
be 8421, and your phone number 12345678; you may dial

12345678w8421p3

.

The phone first dials 12345678, and waits for the call to connect. When connected, the
phone transmits 8421, the password, then pauses for 2.5 seconds and then sends the last
digit of 3, requesting that all messages be played.
If you find that 2.5 seconds is not a long enough pause, you may enter several pause cha-
racters one after another to increase the total pause time

Making a second call

You can make a second call during an active call or when a call is on hold, and you may
switch between the two calls.

During an ongoing call, dial a number, and then press

. You may call a number from the

names list or call list by pressing on the

and proceeding in the call options menu as

described on pages 17 & 18.

The first call is placed on hold and the number is displayed at the
bottom of the screen. The second number is then dialled.

To toggle between the two calls, press

then select

switch

calls.

Each time that you toggle from once call to another, the active call is placed on hold and
the call which was on hold is activated.

To hang up the active line, press

.

The active line is hung up and the call on standby remains on hold.

To end the call on hold, use

switch calls

to reach it, then press

.

Answering a second call

You are able to receive another call when you already have one call
going on, if this feature is available with your network operator.
When the second incoming call arrives you will hear a beep and

incoming call

will be displayed.

If you receive a second call, press

. You can navigate through the inco-

ming call menu to:

• accept the second call by pressing on the

; at which moment the first one will be put

on hold, the second becoming the active call. You may toggle between the two calls, by
pressing on

switch calls

, and each time you do this the other call will be put on

hold.

• reject the second call, by pressing on the

.

• end the first active call, and receive the second incoming call.
