Your phone does not
work well in your car.

long press and a short
press on numeric key-
pad.

The time and the date
have been reset.

Your phone does not
display the phone num-
ber of incoming calls.

When attempting to use
a feature in the menu,
the mobile displays

not

allowed

.

When trying to send a
message, the mobile dis-
plays

Your phone does not
switch on.

You are uncertain that
you are properly receiving
calls on your mobile.

A car contains some metallic parts that absorb electro
magnetic waves that can affect the phone’s performan-
ce. A car kit is available to provide you with an exter-
nal antenna and enables you to phone without hand-
ling the handset. It is strongly advised, however, to
check with local authorities whether you are allowed
to phone while driving.

A short press displays the number written on the key.
A long press, at least one second could either activate
a Hotkey (see «Hotkeys» page 38) or a special charac-
ter (such as

+

for a long press on the

key).

Your mobile phone contains a small battery called the
«back up battery» which is charged by your main bat-
tery. If you unplug the main battery, the back-up bat-
tery can supply the clock with enough energy for
approximately 7 hours functioning, if it is fully charged.
To set time and date, see page 36.
