Protecting the environment
Hewlett-Packard Company is committed to providing quality products in an environmentally sound
manner. This product has been designed with several attributes to minimize impacts on our
environment.
Power consumption
Hewlett-Packard printing and imaging equipment marked with the ENERGY STAR® logo is qualified
to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR specifications for imaging equipment.

Plastic parts over 25 grams are marked according to international standards that enhance the ability
to identify plastics for recycling purposes at the end of the product’s life.
Material restrictions
This HP product contains the following materials that might require special handling at end-of-life:
Mercury in the fluorescent lamp in the scanner and in the display LCD.
Disposal of mercury can be regulated because of environmental considerations. For disposal or
recycling information, please contact your local authorities or the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA)
This product’s real-time clock battery or coin cell battery may contain perchlorate and may require
