Before Using the
Oven for the First Time
Temperature Conversion Scale
Make sure the electricity supply
is switched ON.
Please note that when the double
oven is used for the first time a
slight odour may be emitted due to
the ‘burning off’ of any temporary
finish on oven fittings and elements
and the removal of moisture
absorbed by the lagging. The odour
will cease after a short period of
use.
To remove the ‘new smell’, heat up
the empty oven for 30 minutes
keeping the door closed. Ensure
that the room is well ventilated (eg,
open a window or door) and that
persons who may be sensitive to
the odour avoid any fumes. It is
suggested that any pets be
removed from the room until the
new smell has ceased.
Turn the selector switch to fan oven
function, then turn oven thermostat to
MAX. Also turn Top Oven/Grill
selector to MAX.
The oven temperature thermostat
lights will come on as well as the
interior light, oven fan and cooling fan.

comparisons of oven settings for gas
conventional ovens and fan oven in
degrees ˚F and ˚C
