Congratulations on purchasing your
ARS50 Bluetooth wireless technology
stereo amplifi ed audio system! This
product can provide you hours of
music enjoyment by allowing you to
wirelessly stream audio content from
your mobile device such as a mobile
phone or tablet or computer. No longer
do you need to have your mobile phone
tethered to your audio system. You can
roam around the house or offi ce while
texting, or gaming, or using some other
functions of your mobile phone, while
still listening to the great music played
back through your
ARS50 audio system.
You can also listen to other portable
audio sources such as mp3 players
through the auxiliary line input.*
* The mobile device must support Bluetooth
version 2.1 and A2DP (Advanced Audio
Distribution Profi le). Not all mobile devices can
support multitasking such as listening to music
and texting at the same time.

Any Bluetooth device that you wish to
have streaming audio to your
ARS50
must fi rst be PAIRED to the ARS50 . The
process is simple, and in most cases the
PAIRING process needs to be done only
once.
Pairing your Bluetooth wireless
technology enabled products with
the
ARS50 :
1. Activate the Bluetooth wireless
mode on your Bluetooth device
(smartphone, Laptop, PC) and let
the device enter search mode. Refer
to the device user manual for more
details.
2. Flip the switch on
the back of the ARS50 to the ON
position.
3. Press and hold the button on top
of the ARS50 to enter Pairing mode.
The indicator light fl ashes faster
and an audio signal will be provided
to let you know you can release the
button.
4. Choose “AR ARS50” from the
device list on your Bluetooth device
where you can complete the pairing
operation.
Note in some cases
you may be prompted to enter
a passkey. The passkey is “0000”.
1. To playback in auxiliary mode,
connect your auxiliary source (e.g.
mp3 player) to the
AUX IN jack
on the back of the ARS50 with a
3.5mm audio in cable (not supplied).
2. The ARS50 starts playing the audio
signal you have connected to the
AUX IN jack.
Control all other
playback operations from your
auxiliary player.
In the previous section you saw how
to make that fi rst connection between
your Bluetooth device and the
ARS50 .
However, since most people don’t leave
their mobile phone at home all the
time, or perhaps the mobile phone is
turned off from time to time, it will be
necessary to reconnect your previously
paired Bluetooth device when you wish
to stream music again. There are a few
different ways in which reconnections
are made, and fortunately they are all
very simple.
Searching mode
When the ARS50 is in SEARCHING
MODE (which is indicated by a slow
fl ashing of the indicator light ), the
ARS50 is attempting to automatically
connect to the most recently connected
Bluetooth device.
When you turn on the ARS50, it will
search for the most recently connected
Bluetooth device for 30 seconds. If
the Bluetooth wireless mode on your
Bluetooth device is activated, the
ARS50 will connect to your device
automatically.
When your Bluetooth device goes out
of the reception range, the ARS50 will
enter Searching mode and will attempt
to automatically reconnect to your
device when that your device comes
back into range within 2 minutes.

Bluetooth wireless technology range)
Music playback
When your Bluetooth device is
connected with the ARS50, the
indicator light turns solid blue. Press
to play/pause music on your device.
Adjusting volume
Reduce your device’s volume for audio
to 50%. Press VOL-/VOL+ to adjust the
volume on the ARS50 as desired. An
audio signal will be provided when the
maximum or the minimum volume level
is reached.
Switching playback
After you have paired up with two or
more Bluetooth devices with the ARS50,
you can switch playback between the
last two connected devices.
When your Bluetooth device is
connected with the ARS50, (the
indicator light turns solid blue),
press the button to switch playback
between the last two connected
devices.
• Some Bluetooth devices
will automatically start
streaming audio when
connected.
• The ARS50 can store settings
for up to 8 Bluetooth
devices which simplifi es the
connection process for these
devices without the need for
re-pairing every time.
• The term “Bluetooth device”
is used frequently in these
instructions. So what is a
“Bluetooth device”? The
answer is simple. This would
be any mobile phone or
mobile tablet or netbook
or computer which has at
least both of the following
capabilities:
a) Is equipped with Bluetooth
wireless technology:
Bluetooth version 2.1 and
A2DP.
b) Can playback audio content
such as mp3 fi les, etc.
• You can always enter
Pairing mode by pressing
and holding while in
either SEARCHING MODE or
BLUETOOTH IDLE MODE.
• If during SEARCHING MODE
( indicator light is fl ashing
slowly ), you wish to quickly
connect any other Bluetooth
device (including those
previously paired), simply
press/hold the
button to
enter PAIRING mode, and
proceed to PAIR the Bluetooth
device (see PAIRING section).
• Generally when the user
disables the Bluetooth wireless
connection on a connected
Bluetooth device the
ARS50
will enter Bluetooth Idle
mode which means that the
ARS50 would be available
for other previously paired
Bluetooth devices to connect
(See
Bluetooth Idle Mode
section for more information).
However, in some cases,
the disabling of Bluetooth
wireless connection on
the connected Bluetooth
device may not result in the
ARS50 immediately entering
Bluetooth Idle mode , and may
enter Searching Mode. (See
Searching Mode section for
more information)
12 Month Limited Warranty

AUDIOVOX ACCESSORIES CORP. (the
Company) warrants to the original retail
purchaser of this product that should
this product or any part thereof, under
normal use and conditions, be proven
defective in material or workmanship
within 12 months from the date of
original purchase, such defect(s) will be
repaired or replaced with reconditioned
product (at the Company’s option)
without charge for parts and repair
labor.
To obtain repair or replacement
within the terms of this Warranty, the
product is to be delivered with proof
of warranty coverage (e.g. dated bill
of sale), specifi cation of defect(s),
transportation prepaid, to the Company

antenna problems, loss/interruptions of
broadcast or internet service, to costs
incurred for installation, removal or

A: Make sure the Bluetooth wireless
connection is correct and playback
has been successfully started.
Make sure the volume on your
Bluetooth device is turned up.
Check that the volume of the ARS50
is turned up.
Q: My paired Bluetooth device can
not reconnect to the ARS50 .
A: Delete “AR ARS50” from the device
list on your Bluetooth device.
Repeat the pairing procedures to
complete the pairing operation
again.
A re-connection may fail due
to :
• The pairing information has been
deleted from your Bluetooth device.
• You may have exceeded the
allowable number of paired devices
for the
ARS50 . Only 8 Bluetooth
devices may have their pairing
credentials stored at one time.
Simply follow the above instructions
for Pairing to have a device paired
again. However remember that the
ARS50 can only store credentials
for 8 devices. Therefore the earliest
paired device will be removed from
that list of 8 to make room for the
device you wish to Pair.

If the most recently connected
Bluetooth device can not be found
during Searching Mode, then the ARS50
will revert to Bluetooth Idle mode.
While in this mode, the ARS50 will
accept connection from any previously
paired Bluetooth devices (up to 8
devices). Simply initiate the connection
to the ARS50 on your Bluetooth device,
or press the button on the ARS50
when the Bluetooth wireless mode
on your Bluetooth device is activated.

Bluetooth range
The Bluetooth wireless technology
generally can operate within a range
of 33 feet or more. However results
may vary based on other factors such
as your Bluetooth device performance,
room layout, wall material, weather
conditions, etc. Also, note that when a
mobile device goes out of range, the
ARS50 will enter Searching mode and
will attempt to automatically reconnect
to the mobile device when that mobile
device comes back into range within 2
minutes. (See Searching Mode section
for more information)
The bluetooth settings menu or
bluetooth device list will be found
in different ways for different
devices depending on the brand and
operating system.

Bluetooth ARS50! Este producto
puede suministrarle horas de disfrute
musical permitiéndole transmitir
inalámbricamente contenido de
audio desde su dispositivo móvil tal
como un teléfono celular o tableta o
computadora. Usted ya no necesita
tener su teléfono celular conectado
a su sistema de audio. Usted puede
deambular alrededor de su casa u
ofi cina mientras envía textos, juega, o

Cualquier dispositivo Bluetooth que
usted quiera que transmita audio a su
ARS50 debe primero ser ASOCIADO
al ARS50. El proceso es simple, y en
la mayoría de los casos el proceso de
ASOCIACIÓN necesita ser realizado
solamente una vez.
Para asociar sus productos
habilitados con tecnología
inalámbrica Bluetooth con el ARS50:
1. Active el modo inalámbrico
Bluetooth en su dispositivo
Bluetooth (teléfono inteligente,
laptop, PC) y deje que el dispositivo
entre al modo búsqueda. Refi érase
al manual del usuario del dispositivo
para conocer más detalles.
2. Mueva el interruptor
en la parte posterior del ARS50 a la
posición ON.
3. Presione y mantenga presionado
el botón en la parte superior
del ARS50 para entrar al modo
Asociación. La luz del indicador
parpadea más rápido y una señal de
audio será suministrada para hacerle
saber que puede liberar el botón.
4. Elija “AR ARS50” de la lista de
dispositivos en su dispositivo
Bluetooth cuando pueda terminar

Bluetooth”? La respuesta
es simple. Este sería
cualquier teléfono celular o
tableta móvil o netbook o

menos las dos capacidades

a) Esté equipado con
tecnología inalámbrica
Bluetooth:
Bluetooth versión 2.1 y
A2DP.
b) Pueda reproducir contenido
de audio tal como archivos
MP3, etc.
que en algunos casos se le puede
solicitar ingresar una clave de
acceso. La clave de acceso es
“0000”. El menú de confi guraciones
bluetooth o la lista de dispositivos
bluetooth se encontrará de
diferentes formas para diferentes
dispositivos dependiendo de la
marca y del sistema operativo.
5. La luz del indicador se tornará
azul sólido y una señal de audio
será suministrada para hacerle saber
que usted está conectado.

la conexión inalámbrica Bluetooth
presionando y manteniendo presionado

Reconexión
En la sección anterior usted vio cómo
efectuar esa primera conexión entre su
dispositivo Bluetooth y el ARS50. Sin
embargo, puesto que la mayoría de las
personas no dejan su teléfono celular en
casa todo el tiempo, o quizás el teléfono
celular es apagado periódicamente,
será necesario reconectar su dispositivo
Bluetooth asociado previamente cuando
usted desee volver a transmitir música.
Hay unas cuantas formas diferentes
para realizar las reconexiones, y
afortunadamente todas son muy
simples.
Modo de Búsqueda
Cuando el ARS50 esté en MODO
BÚSQUEDA (lo cual es indicado por
una luz del indicador
parpadeando
lento), el ARS50 está intentando
conectar automáticamente al dispositivo
Bluetooth más recientemente
conectado.
Cuando usted encienda el ARS50,
éste buscará por 30 segundos el
dispositivo Bluetooth conectado más
recientemente. Si el modo inalámbrico
Bluetooth en su dispositivo Bluetooth
es activado, el ARS50 se conectará a su
dispositivo automáticamente.
Cuando su dispositivo Bluetooth salga
del rango de recepción, el ARS50
entrará al modo de búsqueda e
intentará reconectar automáticamente
