Description

Nikon D3000

A semi-professional digital SLR Nikon D3000 camera has replaced the Nikon D60, popular among the beginners. The D3000 refers to a budget camera type, which is not bad, of course. A camera is a thing needed in any family. It is convenient and interesting. After all a professional can hardly catch a moment, when, for example, your beloved is sleeping with his mouth open, or your child put a pot on his head. And there is a share of intimacy in such family pictures, not for prying eyes. That's it, for this category of photographers, namely for amateurs, the Nikon D3000 has been developed. But this does not mean that aside from home images, the Nikon D3000 is capable of nothing yet. So, for example, this camera can be a "great guide" into the world of professional images for novice photographers.

All the more so, photographers are not born. As a rule, the desire to become a professional turns up gradually. As far as you get a brand new camera, you start to randomly shooting all around. Having done in 2 weeks about two thousand shots, most of which should be deleted, the idea to expand the horizons in the knowledge of photography arises in your head. It means that finally the time comes to read the instruction manual. The Nikon D3000 is equipped with an interactive guide on the use of the camera, very convenient and accessible. So every owner of the Nikon D3000, having scrolled through the guide, will find a lot of interesting things.

The GUIDE mode in the D3000, the so-called interactive manual, is specially designed for beginners. Even if it is the first camera that you hold in your hands, there is no difficulty to understand everything. If you are a curious person, this mode is designed specifically for you. The GUIDE offers tips and descriptions during shooting, gives you the possibility to try some of the functions directly from the menu. In other words, if you noticed a letter “A”, for example, on the screen, and you do not know what can happen if you press it, the GUIDE explains, that it means the Aperture Priority mode. Then, if you are interested, you can try. Thus, the Nikon developers are trying to help their clients not to despair in case of loss of a paper user manual, as all the prompting base is now not only on paper but also in the camera.

As regards the D3000 functional features, then there is need to compare it with the Nikon D60. The speed and the sensor in the Nikon D3000 remained unchanged: the CCD sensor with the resolution of 10.2 megapixels, field of view crop factor is 1.5, light sensitivity is 100-1600 (expandable to 3200), with built-in dust removal due to move of a protective filter and air blowing.

Noise reduction is achieved through the improved processor. The number of focus points has increased to 11. The LCD monitor has reached 3 inches, while the resolution remained at the previous level, that is 230,000 pixels. However, graphical user interface has been improved, as, for example, when you turn the camera to view images, they automatically rotate.

The Nikon D3000 offers the following shooting modes: 2 types of Auto (with and without flash), Portrait, Landscape, Child, Sport, Macro, Night Portrait, Shutter-priority Auto ("S”), Aperture-priority Auto ("A"), Manual ("M"), and Programmed Auto (“P”). As mentioned above the D3000 belongs to a budget class and is considered as a family camera, that’s why these modes are more than enough for you to get good and quality images.

The digital D3000 is able to save images in JPEG and RAW. Continuous shooting speed is 3 frames per second. Multiple digital effects, accumulated and multiplied in the previous models (the D60, the D90, and the D5000), has focused in the Nikon D3000. So, for example, the miniature effect, known as tilt-shift, is offered.

To summarize, it should be noted, that the Nikon D3000 is an interesting, convenient, and easy-to-use digital SLR camera. It features interesting functions, an attractive design, and an affordable price. Designed specifically for middle-class consumers, the Nikon D3000 can become the best friend of the family.
