TV Display
When your camcorder is connected to a TV, you can select whether the camcorder’s On
Screen Display (OSD) appears on the TV screen.
1. Touch the Menu ( ) tab Display setting ( ) “TV Display.”
2. Touch the desired submenu item.
3. To exit the menu, touch the Return ( ) tab.
Submenu items
Off : The OSD (On Screen Display) menus appear only on the
camcorder’s LCD screen.
On : The OSD menus appear on the LCD screen and the TV screen.

The menu screen, thumbnail display, and demo screens are shown on the TV even if you set “TV
Display” to “Off.”
TV Type
You can set the screen ratio of the TV to connect with the camcorder.
1. Touch the Menu ( ) tab Display setting ( ) “TV Type.”
2. Touch the desired submenu item.
3. To exit the menu, touch the Return ( ) tab.
Submenu items
16:9: Select when connecting to a wide screen TV (16:9).
4:3: Select when connecting to a standard, analog TV (4:3). •

When you connect the camcorder to a TV using an HDMI cable, the camcorder disables this function
and sets the TV output type automatically.
