Tuner

Listening to the radio

You can listen to a radio station either by

selecting a preset station, or by manually

tuning in the station.

Listening to FM or AM

Press FUNCTION +/

repeatedly to select “TUNER FM”
or “TUNER AM” (or press TUNER/
BAND

on the unit repeatedly

to select “FM” or “AM”).

Press and hold TUNING +/

until the frequency indication
changes and then release.

Scanning stops automatically when

a station is tuned in and “TUNED”

lights up in the display. When a FM

stereo program is tuned in, “ST”

lights up in the display.

If “TUNED” does not appear and

the scanning does not stop, press

TUNING +/

repeatedly to tune

in the station you want.

When you tune in a station that

provides RDS services, the station

name appears on the display.

(European model only)

Adjust the volume.

Press VOLUME +/

To stop automatic scanning

Press 

To change the AM tuning interval

The factory setting for AM tuning

interval is 9 kHz (or 10 kHz, for some

areas, this function is not available on the

European and Russian models).

Use buttons on the unit.

Press TUNER/BAND

on the unit

repeatedly to select “AM.”

Press /

to turn off the system.

Press DISPLAY

to display the clock.

While the clock is displayed, hold

down TUNER/BAND

and then

press /

to turn on the system.

“AM 9k Step” or “AM 10k Step”

appears in the display.

When you change the interval, all the

AM preset stations are erased.
