- Beige-wood brown model: (Fig. 12)

1 ’Green tea’ symbol: setting for heating up water to the required temperature for green tea and

white tea (70°C), green tea (80°C) or green tea and oolong tea (90°C)

2 ‘Black tea/herbal tea/redbush’ symbol: setting for heating up water to the required temperature

for black tea, fruit tea, herbal tea and redbush tea. Only at this setting, the water is boiled

(100°C).

Note: If you cannot set the desired temperature, the current temperature of the water in the kettle is

higher than the temperature you want to set. The current temperature is shown by the number of lights

that are on.

Press the on/off button to switch on the appliance (Fig. 6).

Note: If you do not press the on/off button within 10 seconds after setting the temperature, the set

temperature is lost.

, While the water heats up, the current temperature is shown by the number of lights that are

on and the light of the set temperature flashes. (Fig. 13)

, When the kettle has reached the set temperature, you hear an audible signal (one beep) and

the kettle switches off automatically. The light ring around the on/off button goes off.

, The light of the set temperature stays on for 120 seconds to let you know the water has just

reached the preset temperature.

You can adjust the set temperature while the kettle is operating. This is only possible if the

temperature of the water is still below the newly set temperature.
Note: If you remove the kettle from the base, the set temperature is lost.

keeping water warm

You can use the keep-warm function to keep water warm at a temperature of 100°C (boiling

water)/90°C/80°C/40°C (or 100°C(boiling water)/90°C/80°C/70°C for the beige-wood brown

model).

There are two ways to keep water warm: at the current temperature, or at a temperature higher

than the current temperature.
Only use the keep-warm function when there is at least 0.5l water in the kettle. If there is too

little water in the kettle, the kettle may switch off within 30 minutes to protect the heating

element.

Select a keep-warm method.

a. keeping water warm at the current temperature

1 Press the KEEP WARM button (Fig. 14).
Note: If the current temperature is lower than 80°C (or 70°C for the beige-wood brown model), you first

have to set the temperature (see point B below).

, The light rings around the KEEP WARM button and the on/off button go on to indicate that

the keep-warm function is activated (Fig. 15).
B. keeping water warm at a higher temperature than the current temperature

1 Press the SET TEMP button one or more times to set the desired temperature (see section

‘Setting the temperature’ in this chapter).

2 Press the KEEP WARM button (Fig. 14).

3 Press the on/off button.

, When the kettle heats up the water to keep it at the selected temperature, the light of the

selected temperature flashes.

, When the water has reached the selected temperature, the light of the selected temperature

lights up continuously.
