Addendum to SIP 3.1 Administrator’s
Guide
This addendum addresses changes to the SoundPoint IP / SoundStation IP
SIP 3.1 Administrator’s Guide specific to the release of the
Polycom ® VVX ™ 1500 Business Media phone.
The Polycom VVX 1500 is a Business Media phone that combines advanced
business telephony, one-touch video, real-time presence and integrated
business applications into one seamless, lifelike communications experience.
Some of the features include:
• 7" diagonal color touch screen
• Support for Polycom HD voice (up to 20 kHz audio)
• H.263 and H.264 video support at up to 30 fps
• Privacy shutter for video camera
• Robust IP telephony feature set in SIP
• Adjustable base, display, and camera angle
• Support for Polycom’s SoundPoint IP / SoundStation IP XML API for
application development
• USB port for applications like Call Recording and Playback and Digital
Picture Frame
• Two 10/100/1000 switched Ethernet ports
• Support for Electronic Hookswitch with select partner headsets
• Support for IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet or 48 V Wall Plug Adapter.
The Polycom VVX 1500 phone consumes 11 W maximum, 8 W typical,
and just 6 W in power saving mode.
