5 Troubleshooting

This chapter provides troubleshooting information.

Troubleshooting

If you have a problem installing or upgrading the RAID Manager software, ensure that all system
requirements and restrictions have been met.

If you need to call HP Technical Support, provide as much information about the problem as
possible, including:

The circumstances surrounding the error or failure

The exact content of any error messages displayed on the host system(s)

The Remote Web Console configuration information saved on diskette using the FD Dump
Tool or FDCOPY function (see the HP P9000 Remote Web Console User Guide for the storage
system)

The reference codes and severity levels of the remote service information messages (R-SIMs)
logged by Remote Web Console
