4.2.1 Setting Up an RSH Connection from the Backup Host to the Database
Host
To set up an RSH connection from the backup host to the database host:

Log in to the database host as the
root
or Oracle user.

Modify or create the ~
/.rhosts
file to contain the following lines:

is the host name of the backup host.

is the root user name on the backup host.

From the backup host, verify the RSH connection to the database host as follows:
