From the names that appear on the Pools tab, select the pool with the name that you want to
change and click More Actions > Edit Pools.

3.

In the Edit Pools window, select Pool Name.

4.

For Pool Name, type a name for the pool and click Finish.

NOTE:

For item descriptions, including character limits, see

“Create Pools window” (page 79)

5.

In the Confirm window, complete the following and then click Apply:

For Task Name, enter the task name.

NOTE:

For character and symbol limits and default values, see

“Complete SIMs window”

(page 93)

.

For Go to tasks window for status, select to open the Tasks window.

The pool-VOL name is changed.

Recovering pool volumes

NOTE:

The recovery time for pools depends on pool or V-VOL usage. Calculate roughly 20

minutes of recovery time for every 100 TB of pool or V-VOL usage. Recovery time also depends
on system workload.

1.

In the Storage Systems tree, click Pools.

2.

From the names that appear on the Pools tab, select one or more pools with volumes you want
to recover and click More Actions > Restore Pools.

3.

In the Restore Pools window, for Task Name, type a name and then click Apply.

NOTE:

For more information about character and symbol limits and default values, see

“Complete SIMs window” (page 93)

.

The pool-VOL is recovered.

Deleting pool volumes

1.

In the Storage Systems tree, click Pools.

2.

From the names that appear on the Pools tab, select the pool-VOL that you want to delete and
click More Actions > Delete Pools.

3.

In the Delete Pools window, click Finish.

4.

In the Confirm window, complete the following and click Apply:

For Task Name, enter the task name.

NOTE:

.

For Go to tasks window for status, select to open the Tasks window.

The pool-VOL is deleted.
