Digital Still Camera Mode : Advanced Techniques

The Manual Exposure compensation function works in

(Program), S and A modes.

If the image in the LCD screen is too bright, choose a negative value for exposure
compensation.

If the image in the LCD screen is too dark, choose a positive value for exposure
compensation.

1. Set the Power switch to

(CAMERA).

2. Set the Mode Dial to

(Program), S or A.

3. Press the Quick menu selector.

4. Move the Joystick up or down to select

icon.

The Exposure Control Bar appears.

5. Move the Joystick to the left or right button to adjust the Exposure Compensation.

Positive compensation brightens the image, while negative compensation darkens the
image.

6. When you are satisfied, press the Quick menu selector again.

The

icon remains on LCD screen while the Exposure Control Bar disappears.
