Auto capitalization: Automatically capitalize words in your text based on common

usage, such as at the beginning of sentences.

Auto spacing: Insert spaces between words.

Auto punctuate: Automatically enter a period and space to end a sentence when

you touch the space bar twice.

Keyboard swipe: Configure options for entering text by swiping your finger over the

letters, instead of tapping each letter individually.

None: When enabled, the keyboard won’t recognize swipes on the keyboard as
text input.

SwiftKey Flow: When enabled, you can enter text by sliding your finger across
the keys on the keyboard.

Cursor control: When enabled, you can slide your finger across the keyboard to
move the cursor to begin entering text.

Key-tap feedback: Choose options for the keyboard to indicate your entries.

Sound: When enabled, the keyboard plays a sound for your key taps.

Vibration: When enabled, the keyboard plays a vibration for your key taps.

Character preview: When enabled, the character displays in a bubble as you
tap each key.

Reset settings: Return settings to the defaults.

Swype Settings

Swype is a new way to enter text on touch screens. Instead of touching each key individually,
use your finger to trace over the letters of a word. For each word, place your finger on the first
letter and glide to the subsequent letters, lifting on the last letter.

1. Press

and touch

> Settings > My Device tab > Language and input.

2. Touch

next to Swype to configure these options:

Settings: Set Swype options.

Vibrate on keypress: Vibrate the phone when a key is touched.

Sound on keypress: Play a sound when a key is touched.

Pop-up on keypress: Display characters above keys as you type.
