Creating and Sending New Messages
Creating and Sending New Messages
This section guides you through procedures for creating and sending text messages,
picture messages, and video messages.
Creating and Sending a Text Message
1. In standby mode, press the Down navigation key (MESSAGE shortcut), then press
for Write Text Message. The Text Message screen appears in the display
showing the Text field.
Tip: You can also access the Messages menu by pressing the Menu (left) soft key ( ), and then press for
MESSAGE.
2. Enter the text for your message using the keypad. (See “Section 5: Entering Text” on
page 47 for more information.)
3. Press the right soft key ( ) to change to one of the following text entry methods:
•
T9 Word
•
123
•
Symbol
•
KOR
•
Abc
4. Press the Menu (left) soft key ( ) to access the following message composition
options:
•
Quick Text — Select and add precomposed text to your message.
•
Add to Contacts — Find and add a Contact’s name and number to your message.
•
Save to Drafts — Saves your text message to the Draft box.
•
Cancel Message — Discards your text message without saving to the Draft box.
•
Large Text Mode — Opens/closes a magnified text pop-up. Provides a close-up view of the
text as you enter it.
5. Once you’re finished composing your message, press the key. The Select
Recipients list appears in the display.
6. Press the Menu (left) soft key ( ) to access the following message addressing
options:
•
View CallLog — Select one or more recent calls and add the name(s) and number(s) to the
Select Recipients list for this message.
•
Find Contact — Lets you search for Contacts by name or by group and add the name(s) and
number(s) to the Select Recipients list for this message.
•
Save to Drafts — Saves your text message to the Draft box.
•
Cancel Message — Discards your text message without saving to the Draft box.
7. When you are finished addressing your message, press the key to send your
message.
