Message/Media Boxes

Saved (text messages only)

Media Box (picture messages only)

Junk (text messages only)
Inbox
Received messages other than Email and Voice Mail are stored in an Inbox on your device.
1.
In standby mode, press the Down navigation key (MESSAGE shortcut), then do one of
the following:
•
Press
(for
Text Messages) and
for Inbox. The Inbox screen appears in the
display listing received Text messages.
•
Press
(for
Pic. Messages) and
for Inbox. The Inbox screen appears in the
display listing received Picture messages.
2.
Use the navigation keys to highlight a message, then do one of the following:
•
Press the
key to view the highlighted message, then proceed to Step 3.
•
Press the Menu (left) soft key (
). The following options appear in the display:
–
Call — Lets you call the sender of a message.
–
Reply — Lets you reply to a message.
–
Forward — Lets you forward the message to Contacts, other mobile phone numbers,
and/or Email addresses.
–
Protection On/Off — Blocks or allows deletion of the highlighted message.
–
Add to Junk — Blocks further messages from the sender of the highlighted message.
–
Sort Messages — Sort the messages in the Inbox by date and time received, sender,
priority, or message size.
–
Save My Folder — Save the highlighted message to an Inside folder on your device or to
an Outside folder on a memory card. This lets you keep important messages and re-use
message box space for new messages.
–
Delete — Deletes the highlighted message from the Inbox.
–
Delete All — Deletes all messages from the Inbox.
–
Extract — Picture messages only — Saves pictures, sounds files, and video clips to the
Media Box.
Use the navigation keys to highlight an option. Press the
key to perform the function for
the highlighted option.
3.
While viewing a selected message, do one of the following:
•
Press the Menu (left) soft key (
). The following options appear in the display:
–
Call — Lets you call the sender of a message.
–
Reply — Lets you reply to this message.
–
Forward — Lets you forward this message to Contacts, other mobile phone numbers,
and/or Email addresses.

Delete — Deletes this message from the Inbox.
–
Protection On/Off — Blocks or allows deletion of this message.
–
Save Contact Number — Lets you add the addressee numbers or Email addresses to
your Contacts list.
