eBook
This application lets you access and read books on your
device.
To open eBook for the first time and download and install the
latest version:
1. From a Home screen, touch Apps ➔ eBook.
Note: You may be asked to create or sign on to your Google
account. For more information, refer to “Setting Up Your
Gmail Account” on page 66.
A pop-up displays a link to the Google Play Terms of
Service.
2. Read the document and touch Accept.
The eBook app information on Play Store displays.
3. Touch Update and then touch Accept & Download.
The current version of the eBook app downloads and
installs on your device.
Tip: Touch Allow automatic updating to make sure you always
have the current version of the eBook app.
4. Touch Open.
The eBook app Disclaimer screen displays.
5. Read the disclaimer and touch Confirm.
The eBook main screen displays.
Options While Reading a Book
1. From a Home screen, touch Apps ➔ eBook.
2. Touch the cover of a book or PDF to start reading.
Once the book displays, sweep across the screen to
turn the page.
3. Touch the screen to display options that can be used
while reading a book.
• There are options on the top, left that let you highlight text,
draw on the page, erase drawings, and configure the pen and
highlighting.
• There are options on the top, right that let you set the font and
theme, set the speed and pitch of text-to-speech, search the
book, and bookmark pages in the book.
