13.1 Secure Print 13
13 Function Details
This chapter describes the functions that require special attention, for example, when combining the printer
driver and panel operation of the machine.

The printer driver screens for bizhub PRESS C7000/C7000P/C6000/C70hc and bizhub PRO C6000L
are used here for explanations.
13.1 Secure Print
Secure Print is a function to save print jobs to a hard disk of the machine or of an image controller. This func-
tion is useful for printing confidential documents, because the machine and image controller require a pass-
word entry from the control panel and the job management application "Job Centro," respectively, in order
to output the stored jobs.
The Secure Print function can be specified using the printer driver when printing.
Note

Using the XPS driver, print jobs can be saved only to a hard disk of the machine.
13.1.1 Setting the printer driver (PS Plug-in Driver)
Perform printing with the following settings specified.

Checking the [Secure Print] check box in the [Workflow] panel

Display the [WorkFlow] tab.

Check [Secure Print].
% It uses the screens from Windows 7 in the description.

Select [Main Body] or [Image Controller] in [Hold in].

Input [Password] and input it again in the [Again] field.
% The default password is "password".
% Enter the password with 1 to 8 alphanumeric characters.
