Using PageScope Web Connection

PageScope Web Connection is a device control utility. Using a Web browser on a computer connected to
the network, you can change machine settings and check the status of the machine.

This function is unavailable while the Enhanced Security mode is activated.

This function is unavailable with the PSWC setting set to [Disable]. For details, see 06 Administrator Setting
- 04 Network Setting - 02 Controller NIC Setting - 03 HTTP Server Setting.

Operating environment

To fully access all the features of PageScope Web Connection, the operating computer should meet the fol-
lowing requirements.

You can choose Flash or HTML to view the PageScope Web Connection. To view the Flash page, Adobe
Flash Player Ver. 7.0 or higher needs to be installed on the computer.

15.1.2

Accessing PageScope Web Connection

Start the Web browser to access PageScope Web Connection.

If User Authentication is enabled, enter the user name and password. For details, refer to page 15-9.

For details on the IP address settings of this machine, refer to "User's Guide POD Administrator's Ref-
erence" or "User's Guide Main Body".

PageScope Web Connection has two view modes: Flash and HTML. For details, refer to page 15-8.

Start the Web browser.

Enter the IP address of the machine in the URL field, and then press [Enter].

http://<IP address of the machine>/

Example: When the IP address of this machine is 192.168.1.20:

When IPv6 is set to [ON] while a browser other than Internet Explorer 6 is used:

Enter the IPv6 address enclosed in brackets [ ] to access PageScope Web Connection.

Example: When the IPv6 address of this machine is fe80::220:6bff:fe10:2f16:

If IPv6 is set to [ON] while Internet Explorer 6 is used, add "fe 80::220:6bff:fe:10:2f IPv:6_MFP_1" to the
hosts file in advance, and specify the address with the domain name.
